Detailed Technique Profiles

In-Depth Specifications & Selection Guide

Detailed breakdown of when to choose each capability, exact technical limits, and compatible garment categories.

Decoration Technique #1

Custom Screen Printing (Plastisol, High-Density Puff & Water-Based)

Screen printing is the gold standard for high-volume streetwear and activewear. Ink is pressed through fine mesh screens onto fabric, creating crisp, saturated graphics with incredible longevity.

When to Choose Screen Printing vs Other Techniques:

  • Choose over DTF when producing orders of 100+ units with 1–4 solid spot colors for the lowest per-unit cost.
  • Choose over Sublimation when printing on 100% cotton, French terry fleece, or heavy canvas garments.
  • Choose High-Density 3D Puff when seeking elevated streetwear tactile texture on chest and back graphics.
Max Colors Up to 12 spot colors per design
Minimum Order (MOQ) 50 pcs per design/colorway
Turnaround Time 10–14 production days
Placement Options Full chest, oversized back, sleeves, pockets
How many colors can you screen print on dark garments?

We support up to 12 colors on dark garments by applying an underbase white flash layer to ensure vibrant Pantone accuracy without dulling.

Does your 3D puff print crack after regular washing?

No. We formulate our puff additives with flexible polyurethane binders cured at 320°F (160°C) for Grade 4.5 wash-fastness.

Decoration Technique #2

Industrial 3D Puff & Flat Satin Embroidery

Multi-head Tajima computerized embroidery produces rich, dimensional branding using high-tensile Madeira threads that outlast the garment itself.

When to Choose Embroidery vs Printing:

  • Choose over Screen Print for small chest logos, beanies, caps, heavy outerwear, and luxury branding requiring physical thread depth.
  • Choose 3D Foam Puff for bold typography and sports team crests on heavyweight fleece and structured twill.
  • Choose Chenille Patches for retro collegiate fonts and varsity jackets.
Max Thread Colors Up to 15 colors per embroidery file
Minimum Order (MOQ) 50 pcs per design
Stitch Density High-density (up to 45,000 stitches/design)
Placement Options Left chest, center chest, hood brim, cuff, back neck
What file format is required for embroidery digitizing?

We accept AI, EPS, PDF, and high-resolution PNG files. Our in-house digitizers convert your artwork into DST embroidery machine stitch paths with zero setup surcharge on production orders.

Can you embroider across hoodie seams?

Yes. Because we do custom cut-and-sew, we embroider panels before garment assembly, allowing edge-to-edge and cross-seam placements that off-the-shelf blanks cannot achieve.

Decoration Technique #3

All-Over Dye Sublimation Printing

Dye sublimation converts solid pigment ink directly into gas under heat and pressure, fusing permanently with synthetic polyester fibers at a molecular level for zero hand-feel and complete breathability.

When to Choose Sublimation:

  • Ideal for Performance Athletic Uniforms: Soccer jerseys, basketball kits, cycling jerseys, MMA rashguards, and esports jerseys.
  • 100% Breathable: Inks do not block fabric pores or mesh ventilation holes.
  • Zero Color Limitations: Full-bleed gradients, custom camo patterns, player numbers, and sponsor logos printed in a single pass.
Max Colors Unlimited full-bleed photographic spectrum
Minimum Order (MOQ) 35 pcs per design
Fabric Compatibility 100% Polyester, Poly-Spandex, Dry-Fit Interlock
Print Coverage 100% All-over panel-to-panel coverage
Will sublimated colors fade after multiple machine washes?

No. Sublimation dyes become part of the actual polymer chain, meaning they cannot peel, crack, or wash out even after 100+ high-intensity sports wash cycles.

Decoration Technique #4

DTF (Direct-to-Film) High-Definition Printing

Direct-to-Film printing prints water-based pigment inks onto a specialized PET carrier film, dusted with adhesive powder, and heat-transferred directly onto the fabric.

When to Choose DTF:

  • Complex Photographic Art: Perfect for multi-color photorealistic artwork with fine lines that screen printing screens cannot resolve.
  • Universal Fabric Compatibility: Works equally well on 100% cotton, high-stretch nylon-spandex, polyester, and tri-blends.
  • Small-Batch Efficiency: Zero screen setup costs, making it ideal for capsule drops with 35–100 pieces.
Max Colors Full CMYK + White photographic spectrum
Minimum Order (MOQ) 35 pcs per design
Stretch Elasticity High-elasticity hot-melt adhesive
Wash Durability 40+ wash cycles (Cold wash recommended)
